Statement of Ethical, Behavioural and Commercial Commitment

The Thriving Today Academy is fully committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical, behavioural, and commercial practice in all aspects of its operation, in accordance with the CPD Standards Office Ethical, Behavioural and Commercial Standards (2025).

This commitment applies to all colleagues, contracted trainers and facilitators, content developers, third-party suppliers, and anyone representing or delivering services on behalf of The Thriving Today Academy, before, during and after the accreditation process is complete.

  1. Professional Ethics and Behaviour

All individuals acting on behalf of The Thriving Today Academy are expected to:

  • Act with honesty, respect, and professionalism in all internal and external communications.
  • Uphold ethical integrity in the design, delivery, and evaluation of all learning experiences.
  • Operate in a financially responsible manner and avoid any action that may result in unfair advantage or exploitation.
  • Promote kindness, inclusivity, and respect for learners, clients, and colleagues at all times.
  • Avoid any form of discrimination or behaviour that may bring disrepute to the organisation or the CPDSO framework.
  1. Content Development and Educational Integrity

The Thriving Today Academy maintains full editorial and pedagogical control over all accredited CPD activities. To uphold this:

  • Content is developed solely in response to identified learning needs and aligned with clear educational objectives.
  • All learning materials are free from bias, sales-driven messaging, or promotional influence from sponsors or external entities.
  • Trainers and content developers are formally briefed on the standards and are responsible for maintaining educational neutrality and quality.
  • Learner feedback is actively gathered, reviewed, and used to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with CPDSO expectations.
  1. Transparency and Conflict of Interest

To ensure trust and accountability:

  • All trainers, speakers, and contributors must disclose any actual or perceived conflicts of interest before involvement in CPD activities.
  • The Academy reviews all declarations of financial or advisory relationships with other organisations (profit or not-for-profit) and will take appropriate steps to mitigate any influence on course content.
  • Any undeclared conflicts discovered during or after delivery will be investigated, and the individual may be excluded from future CPDSO activities.
  1. Commercial Integrity and Sponsorship

While The Thriving Today Academy may accept financial or in-kind support, such support:

  • Will never influence the design, content, delivery, or evaluation of CPD activities.
  • Will be transparently declared to clients and learners where appropriate.
  • Will not involve promotional branding, advertising, or sales-driven materials being included in course delivery spaces, handouts, digital platforms, or educational content.
  1. Distinction Between Accredited and Non-Accredited Activities

The Thriving Today Academy will clearly differentiate between CPDSO-accredited and non-accredited courses:

  • Accredited and unaccredited activities will not run concurrently or in a way that confuses learners or clients.
  • No unaccredited CPD content will be marketed or presented as part of any CPDSO-accredited programme or calendar.
  1. Accountability and Continuous Improvement

The Thriving Today Academy commits to:

  • Regularly reviewing its policies, practices, and educational delivery to ensure full alignment with CPDSO standards.
  • Maintaining appropriate documentation and processes for handling feedback, conflict of interest, and financial disclosures.
  • Cooperating fully with the CPDSO in any monitoring, review, or assessment activities as part of ongoing accreditation.
  1. Obligation of Third Parties and Freelance Facilitators

Any individual or organisation contracted by The Thriving Today Academy — including freelance facilitators, course designers, and other suppliers — must:

  • Acknowledge and agree to these ethical, behavioural, and commercial standards as part of their contractual terms.
  • Be informed of their responsibilities regarding independence, neutrality, and professional conduct.
  • Agree that failure to adhere may result in termination of their relationship with The Thriving Today Academy and removal from any CPDSO-accredited work.
